4 Stars Pretty good for price, beginner
I am a high handicap player and wanted to experiment with hybrid clubs. I didn’t want to spend too much money on experiment and ordered these to see if hybrid is really for me.
The quality of the product “built” are, well, you can tell they are cheap. Grip quality was the only one that looked “quality.” But for experiments, I overlooked the quality issues.
I reduced the hybrids’s length to match my iron length as I felt they were too long for me to be consistent. I also didn’t want to get used to another length of clubs.
It took a while but once I got used to them, I found the clubs to be very forgiving vs irons. For the cheap clubs these are, they didn’t fail on distance either. Versus my #4 iron ($1000 set in its heyday), #4 hybrid went a few yards less. But balls generally went straight, and longer on “missed” shots. I liked it so much so that #4 hybrid became most oft used club and I’ve retired my #4 iron. Not bad for ~$13 club.
I stopped using #2 & #1 hybrid as they didn’t offer added value vs woods I have. Most others probably won’t need them either but that’s for others to experiment. I’ve kept #3 in my bag along with #4 and likely to invest in much better hybrid when opportunity arises.
3 Stars OK to Try
I got these to see what I thought of hybrids. These are offset so I am not real happy with them. I guess they would be OK if you are a slicer. They look real nice. The head of the 3 fell off after about 10 swings. You get what you pay for.

The Texan Classics Utility Hybrid Iron-Woods 1-2-3-4 Golf Clubs
are just wonderful. I had purchased them as a Christmas present
for my husband and he was thrilled and so excited when they came.
Of course I didn’t have time to wrap them since he was home when
they arrived. But the surprise was still there - even more so
since he had wanted them for a long time. We had a bout of warm
weather after they had arrived and he and a friend ventured out
to play golf with them and he was so very satisfied with the golf
clubs. He can’t wait now to use them again and again when golf
weather permits - in the spring!
Thank you so much for the wonderful clubs and the fast delivery.
We couldn’t be more pleased.
